This Privacy Policy describes how Modelize ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our Shopify application and related services (collectively, the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Shopify Store Data

When you install Modelize, we access certain information from your Shopify store through the Shopify API, including:

Store name and URL
Product information (titles, descriptions, images, variants)
Basic store owner contact information (name, email)

1.2 Product Images

We process product images that you submit for AI-generated photography. These images are used solely to provide the Service and generate new product photographs based on your selections.

1.3 Usage Data

We automatically collect certain usage information, including:

Features used and actions taken within the app
Number of images generated
Device and browser information
IP address and general location (country/region)
App performance and error data

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
Process your product images and generate AI photography
Sync generated images back to your Shopify store
Improve and optimize the Service, including AI model performance
Communicate with you about your account and the Service
Provide customer support
Detect, prevent, and address technical issues or abuse

3. Data Storage and Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest. Your product images are processed on secure servers and are not shared with unauthorized third parties.

Generated images are stored temporarily during the generation process and then synced to your Shopify store. We retain processing logs for a reasonable period to support troubleshooting and service improvement.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Modelize:

Shopify API — to access your store data and sync generated images
AI Processing Providers — to generate product photography using AI models
Cloud Infrastructure — to host and operate the Service securely
Analytics Services — to understand usage patterns and improve the Service

These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only as necessary to provide their services to us.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your Modelize account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you uninstall the app:

Your account data is scheduled for deletion within 30 days
Product images submitted for processing are deleted within 7 days
Generated images that were synced to your Shopify store remain in your store (managed by Shopify)
Aggregated, anonymized usage data may be retained for analytics

6. Your Rights (GDPR/CCPA)

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Right to Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
Right to Rectification — correct inaccurate data
Right to Erasure — request deletion of your data
Right to Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
Right to Object — object to certain processing of your data
Right to Opt Out of Sale (CCPA) — we do not sell personal information

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
